Get Well Card

I am back today with a get well card. This is for J's grandma, who has not been feeling well. Grandpa passed away in November and unfortunately, we are seeing her decline little by little. J thinks she just doesn't want to be here anymore which I can completely understand. It breaks my heart to see this happen to so many older folks...

On a happier note, we have this sweet little card:

Dodo, as J has called her since he was small, loves flowers and nature and used to sew a lot. One of the things I love most about making homemade cards is being able to incorporate things like this into a project for a specific someone. This patterned paper I totally adore (and have been using in very small bits to keep myself from just hoarding it) is from Basic Grey's Sweet Threads collection. I also used PTI's Mat Stack 5 collection stamp set to make a faux layer (second flap) on the front that reveals a sentiment underneath. I love the lacy pattern on this stamp..it is so so pretty in person. The inside is stamped as well.

That's all for today. Off to spend some time with family. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
